After being paired with Rajnikant in the Tamil period movie 'Kochadaiyaan' (being dubbed in Telugu as Vikram Simha), Deepika Padukone is being considered as the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan in the star’s next 'Gabbar Singh' movie. A source close to the project says, “Deepika is the front-runner for the female lead opposite telugu movies ever green Pawan in the 'Gabbar Singh' franchise; two others who are in the running are Sonakshi Sinha and Samantha. Although Kajal Aggarwal was the first choice, she is no more in the race.”
“It’s the date issue that is holding back the makers to finalise the leading lady. Talks are going on.
