Reports emerging from Kollywood say that Siva, the director whose Pongal release Veeram starring Ajith and Tamannaah has been going great guns, is planning to make another film soon. The film might just have Karthi and Tamannaah pairing up opposite each other for their third film.
Readers might recall that Karthi and Tamannaah had starred together in Siva’s super-duper hit film Siruthai three years back. Before that, they had also starred in Lingusamy’s Paiyaah, the breezy, action-packed romantic entertainer which had them traveling from Chennai to Mumbai for most part of the film. Rumours of link up between Karthi and Tamannaah made the latter seek solace in Telugu and Hindi films.
After a long hiatus, Tamannaah surfaced back in Tamil films with Siva’s Veeram opposite Ajith. Siva, who apparently loves working with Tamannaah, has now directed her in his back-to-back hit films in Tamil as director. It is said that Karthi, who has been undergoing a terrible spell in the past 2-3 years, met Siva and requested him to make a film with him in the lead.
Siva reportedly accepted Karthi’s request. However, he told the latter in plain terms that Tamannaah would be the heroine in this film too and that Karthi shouldn’t object to it. Karthi, who has had a string of failures in Saguni, Alex Pandian and All in All Azhagu Raja and a moderate hit in Biriyani, is said to have agreed to Siva’s condition and would soon be starring work on his third film with Tamannaah.
